Our Story & Journey

Shree Laxmi Multipurpose Co-operative Ltd. was established in 2053 B.S. (1996 AD) with a vision to uplift the financial well-being of local communities in Nepal. What began as a modest initiative by a small, dedicated group of community members has evolved into one of the most trusted cooperatives in the region.

In its early years, the cooperative operated from a modest office, offering basic savings and credit services to its founding members. The commitment to honest service, transparency, and member welfare quickly earned the trust of the community, attracting more individuals and families to join the cooperative family.

Over the course of more than two and a half decades, Shree Laxmi Sahakari has grown its membership to over 5,000 members, expanded its range of financial products, and established itself as a pillar of economic support in the community. Today, the cooperative continues to serve with the same values that guided its founding — integrity, transparency, and dedication to member welfare.

"Together, we grow stronger. Shree Laxmi Sahakari is not just a financial institution — it is a community built on trust, solidarity, and mutual progress."
